I believe that the Labour Party must continue to build a framework for a society in which the opportunity for social mobility is open to all and not just the fortune few.

We're Backing Ayub for Bethnal Green & Bow
Ayub would make an excellent choice to be our MP. He is a someone who will bring everyone together at the next election. He would win Bethnal Green & Bow for Labour.
Jane Downey, local resident, works in Tower Hamlets, long serving Labour Party member and CLP affiliated delegate.
I grew up in Stepney, Tower Hamlets and attended school until I was 16. Like many of my contemporaries I then left and worked as a machinist in a small clothing factory in Whitechapel. This experience motivated me to join the Labour Party. Thanks to past Labour Governments, I was able to stop being a machinist and eventually go on to Ruskin College, Oxford and become a qualified "professional". I know the difference that a Labour council and Labour Government can make to ordinary peoples lives. I have campaigned for the Party at every local and national election. I was privileged to be elected as a Labour Party Councillor last year. I still work in Tower Hamlets. I believe that the party must continue to build a framework for a society in which the opportunity for social mobility is open to all and not just the fortune few.
